rite now i'm deciding on what to buy for my hatch with a b18c1. Either a JDM 4-1 DC header, or Skunk 2 intake manifold? I have up to $400 to spend for these parts. I've heard of the 4-1 header may be dented easy on a lowered car and mines will be pretty low so that kind of makes me not want to get it. Also I will be running a chipped ECU for the intake manifold but stock cams and the same TB. So out of these parts which will help me for my 1/4 times and be the best bang for buck.

Good question- one will increase the output of the other, and vice versa. I would prolly go with the header first (I am assuming that you are running a stocker now) Yes they do hang low, I have a JDM 4-1 ITR header on my hatch, I dented the f00k out of it one night, had to have it rewelded and everything- after that I got a skid plate from a company called fastline performance... the problem you will have is these plates are ONLY for the JDM 4-1 not the DC.

If you have already have a cheaper aftermarket header then the intake mani would be your best bet.

rite now i juss have an AEM short ram intake wit custom piped 2.25 inch exhaust wit test pipe. For my ECU i will be using a chipped P28. So getting a Skunk IM with stock cams and the same TB it will give me noticable gains ? I've heard of losing mid range power but i figure with my VTEC higher with the chipped ECU it shouldnt be that bad.
