Default Ok, used bare block, what to do next?????

I have a used b16 block and I'm going to throw in new CTR pistons. Do I need to rehone the block or what? Balance the crank? The block is in normal condition.

Thanks

Yes you have to hone the block. The crank should be pretty well balanced, as with most Honda cranks. I would balance the rods and pistons. And I think there's is something else you need to check out. I think there are clearance problems with the PCT pistons in a b16a. Not sure, maybe someone who has done this can back me up. But definitely balance the rods and pistons and hone the block.

Do the crank and pistons need to be out of the block to be balanced?

yeah you have to mill the rod so the piston can fit on the rod. you have to mill it usually 1mm on both sides. i have heard by somebody that it is alittle more than 1mm so check it out first..
