i just bought an edelbrock intake for my b16, and im not sure of the cooloant hoses place on it so ive been trying to figure them out one by one.
im not sure wat i did but i now have water in the oil and coming thru the intake ,the motor has been not ablr too run hot or anything its never on more than a few minutes.and its causing it too smoke bad any ideas.

 

The intake manifold has nothing to do with oil. Are you sure you don't have a blown headgasket?

would the coolant hoses be able to put water in the motor if there hooked up in the wrong places?

 

No. Do you know how to do a compression test?

 

yes but i already have the head off, just waitin for a new gasket. i might get the head shaves as well.

 

Make sure your block is level as well... Keep in mind, that if you get either decked, your compression ratio will increase.
