oil pumps and pans
how can you tell the difference between say a ls and a gsr oil pan and pump. looking to trade for one and don't want to get an ls. thanx guys.

The GSR oil pan I've got has 'P72' stamped into the bottom. I'd wager that the ITR pan is the same. From what I recall, the LS pan I had didn't have any markings on it.
If you had the two next to each other, the GSR pan should be taller to accomodate the crank girdle (I would think -- never looked at them side-by side before).

yeah that is what i was thinking but i wanted to know where the stamp was. also would you happen to know where the stamp is on the oil pump?
