Default An oil pump is an oil pump is an oil pump?

I am rebuilding the bottom end of my B16 for high boost applications. While everything is appart I want to replace the oil pump but was wondering if there are pumps available that are better/more reliable than others?

Thanks for the info! One more question, does anyone know for sure if the B16 & B18 (all b-series) pumps are the same?

As I've mentioned before all the late model stuff run the same diameter gear but the spring/pressure rate may be different (not sure on that). If you want to be safe just buy yourself a new GSR/ITR pump.
