which are more acurate mechanical or electric?

Yes I recommend electrical too...
but mechanical guages come in Full Sweep version ... I wish the made electrical full sweep

electrical is better i think due to you dont have to run those shitty nylon lines through your while motor and through the firewall. they just look like there going to rip.
