well my oil light is on. also when i start my car i hear ticking like i have a bad starter, but it starts up anyways. when engine is at idle its fine and the oil level is fine. oh yeah and i am breaking a rebuilt gsr motor. any ideas. also i mixed some oils if that helps. any suggesetions would really help alot. thanks

 

Well first check the connections at your oil pressure sensor at the back of the block, hopefully they just came undone. If not you have low oil pressure and I would not run the engine intill you get it fixed. You might have to replace the oil pump.

you NEED TO CHECK THE CONNECTIONS AND THE SENSOR

if they are working do NOT DRIVE THE CAR
somthing is seriously wrong.

 

Unfortunately, if the sensor is conn'd and working, I would look @ where the pick-up meets your pump (the studded joint) in the pan, the gasket might be beat, torn, or if it uses and oring, it might be beat or missing from the rebuild. You need to test the oil pressure by someother means before you drive the car at all!
