Default oil leak

My son's 93 Accord has a significant oil leak that looks as though it is above the oil filter. We changed the oil, made sure the filter was tight, etc. Still leaking. Here's the odd part...we put the correct amount of oil in the filler but the dip stick showed below full, then later checked the level and it showed above the top mark(about the distance between the level marks). This thing has shown oil levels all over the place. Is there an oil passage blocked? We've had the car about a month and are discovering all the things that used cars with 185k do. Any ideas?

it's leaking from the oil pressure switch. it's above the oil filter. bout $30-40 if that.

check your oil pressure sensor. its right by the oil filter and if its not tightend enough it could possibly leak. there is a black thing over it and it pulls right off then you can check to see if its tightened.

yeah, we put the correct amount, checked level, ran it, checked, etc. I'm thinking the oil strainer is clogged...the oil pressure sending unit is a likely leak path but the oil level fluctuations are weird. gonna put it on jack stands this week to see what we can find.....
