Default Oil Filter Flow Path question

Hi All,

My question is in relation to the sandwhich adapter for the OIL COOLER kit. I am trying to find out the flow path of the oil on the Sandwhich adapter.

My question is, I've forgotten which is the inlet and which is the outlet (OIL FLOW PATH) for a oil filter. Does the oil flow out of the engine via the outter portion of the oil filter and returns back into the engine via the CENTER (where the oil filter screws back into the engine) of the oil filter. Or is it vice versa.

I'm asking this becuase i'm in installing a oil temperature guage inbetween the oil cooler and I want to get the temperature via the RETURN line, but forgot which is return line/oil flow path path.

Thank you.

center is where you screw the filter onto the engine and the outter portion

i'm thinking vice versa as in return from center, BUT I AM NOT SURE
but for a cooler and sandwich, it doesn't matter
also which sandwich you get, i bought a permacool one at the frickin thing doesn't fit on honda's.

I believe oil goes back into the engine via the center, much similar to an air intake.

The Oil cooler I have is the B&M one, and I am using the Perma Cool Thermostat.

I had a small problem getting the sandwhich adapter to fit, cuz the center screw/extension bolt to hold the adapter and filter was a bit long, so I had to grind it down or shorten it a lil thus it will lock the adapter tightly in place.
