Default oil control jet question

ive got a sohc non-vtec zc, 88-91. whats the worst that could happen if the oil control jet was removed from the block? would the oil pressure in the head be too high or too low? and the resuts of that would be....?

hrmm....i believe the oil jet simply allows the fuel to go up there with a higher velocity so you'd end up with less oil and something would fuse with something else or wear away to nothing

You can't remove it all togeher - you will end up with the majority of your oil in the head and nothing left for the bearings. In race applications we do take it out, drill it through with a 1/6" bit and reinstall it to get a little more oil flow to the top ogf the motor.
