Default Oil consumption?

How much oil consumption is normal for a first gen B16A? It was up to the top fill hole before I went to the track. I drove to the track on the highway, which is about 3800 rpm - 4000 rpm, and I made 9 passes. I drove home gain at about 3800-4000 with the occasional full throttle fun on the highway. I checked the oil this morning and it was about here: o||||||| o, as opposed to o||||||o, where it was yesterday. Is this normal? It has good compression, doesn't blow any smoke. It's also leaking a bit out of the drainplug washer.

hey man, i don't have a B16 engine at all, but is normal for every car to consume oil when it is pushed hard (making the passes and on the occasionally wot on the highway), but if you say it has good compression and doesn't smoke then i guess is normal. Every engine consumes oil, some engines more than others, it is normal. Just be carefull and check oil a lot and see if it was abnormal or not, you have to learn your engine
not sure if i help

I have a b16, and I get on it sometimes but I never loose oil. I actually had alittle leak around the drain plug bolt, well I checked the leval every so often and it never changed. Don't know if it will help you though.

Well, if I'm driving normally, I don't lose any either. It's simply when I go to the track, after beating on it repeatedly. Just wondering if it's a problem.

I have about 2500 miles since my last oil change, and I was right at the top O. Friday, I drove nearly 200 miles on the highway at 4000-4500 RPM. Saturday I went out on the back roads and was in VTEC for the better part of a half hour. Checked it today, and still at the top O. I was pleasantly surprised, but in your case, I wouldn't be too concerned at all.
