According to my trip computer, I'm averaging about 13mpg right now. That's what happens when you buy a car with a 6L V8 and only drive in the city. But when your commute in only 7 minutes it doesn't really matter.

Does the engine even reach full operating temperature in that short commute?

My summer MPG in my '97 GSR is 30-31 in mixed driving. The winter
MPG drops to about 28. I commute about 10 miles.

so far im getting 65mpg combined

2000 Civic hatchback CX

mods include:
Full front end block
warm air intake
carbon hood
removed excess weight
70psi in tires
Scangauge II
mirror blockoffs
amsoil 0w20
205/50/15 kumho tires- they are not good at all for mileage

Right now im at about 60mpg with the e10 gasoline and a nicely dented in fender
so i know i could be doing much better

plans for the future are to get a one piece front end, full underbody diffuser, rear wheel fairing and a lot more weight to take out

Also would really like to swap in an hx motor to get even better mileage

Alignment will also have a major influence on MPG. What is everybody running?

I also forgot, I inflate my tires to 47psi for all of my trips, makes the car feel like it has better suspension.

An interesting site for everyone to check out.

One note, look at the differences in fuel economy between non-ethanol and ethanol based fuels...and how stupid it is that we use ethanol based fuels in this country.

link: http://www.aerocivic.com/

Taken from the site.

The approximate mileage on a level road burning non-ethanol gasoline at 85 degrees F ambient (29.4 degrees C) is:

95 mpg (US) at 65 mph
(2.5 L/100 km at 105 km/h ... 40.4 km/L ... 114 mpg (Imp.))
85 mpg (US) at 70 mph
(2.8 L/100 km at 113 km/h ... 36.1 km/L ... 102.1 mpg (Imp.))
65 mpg (US) at 80 mph
(3.6 L/100 km at 129 km/h ... 27.6 km/L ... 78.1 mpg (Imp.))
50 mpg (US) at 90 mph
(4.7 L/100 km at 145 km/h ... 21.3 km/L ... 60.1 mpg (Imp.))
Using E10 (10% ethanol/gasoline blend) drops these numbers by about 5 mpg. It was averaging mileage in the low 70's until E10 was introduced and is now averaging high 60's (see current fuel economy log). The flip side of the improved mileage is the increased range and I have no problems getting over 800 miles (1,287 km) from my 11 US gallon (41.6 liters / 9.2 Imperial gallon) tank in the summer.

i got a b20b4 in my dc, all stock with the ls intake manifold and air box with new filter. just replaced my pcv valve as well and got 195/55/15's and im getting 28-30 mpg cruising (60-65) with the ls tranny. pretty pleased with it. but im throwing a CEL cause my purge solenoid is bad. the purge solenoid would increase my numbers correct?

also-naked driving FTW indeed. not only do i increase my gas mileage by shedding uneccessary weight, but them cute little chicas throw their numbers at me all the time son!
