I know this really isnt the place for this but I need help with my girlfriends Eclipse. I put in a used motor a few months ago that supposedly had only 60,000 miles. The problem is this: When you are going down a hill and let off the gas a lot of smoke comes out of the tailpipe. It is really blackish blue and stinks really bad. It only does it when you let off the gas or you are coasting and start giving it gas again. Do you goes think it needs new valve seals or what. It does not smoke when you start the car or while it idles. Only during the situations I described. By the way it is a 95 GS 2.0 non turbo.

Mods if this needs to be moved please do so

 

it sound like it running real rich. You said blackish and blue smoke comes out. Only thing i can think of
