Default OEM ITR or OBX LSD?

If you had to choose, which would you use for a daily driver/weekend dragger?

How much power are you planning on putting through it?

I'd rather have an itr since obx's are known to fail.

EVERYTHING is known to fail, and if it doesnt fail its not a mechanical part, everything in the right sircumstance can fail.

with that being said, im going to run a obx lsd and i have had all bolts retorqed and had a reputable shop install it, i dont have any worries with it.

there are people who have had them fail and some that had NEVER had a problem with them

install is a major deal with the obx as the bolts should be retorqued and the lsd should have a good break in period to make sure everything is in and working right.

alot of people install it and beat the **** out of it and thats why they fail.

Be aware, even though the obx may not be up to par with the itr lsd it is a direct bolt on wheras in the ITR, depending on your application will not be a direct bolt on. That's what happened to me, I ended up selling it because I would have needed to convert my tranny to have an ITR final drive.

then you orderd the wrong one......OBX has a few diffrent part numbers and you needed the right one for your specific tranny.

to answer the guys original post. since you wont me making more than 350WHP or something close to that i would stick with thr ITR unit.

I'm sorry I meant to say that the ITR doesn't line up properly (the transmission has to be modified) whereas the OBX can be ordered vehicle specific.
