Default obdo to obd1 conversion HELP

today i installed a obd0 to obd1 conversion harness. i wired up vtec and knock. i dont have a IAB or a O2 sensor so those were not wired in. with my obd0 ecu before the conversion no codes were being thrown. now i put that in and my ecu and its now throwing codes 8 and 20. TDC and ELD. anyone know why? any help is greatly appreciated. thanks

So your using a 0bd0 ECU when you want to switch to obd1? Wouldn't that be the issue because you just jumped to obd1 so your dizzy and ECU need to be obd1. Maybe I'm confused but this seems like the answer

If you are using an OBD1 ecu, then you need the OBD1/2 distributor. The only exception to this rule is if you are running a standalone engine management system with the capability to change the trigger wheel pickup(e.i...AEM)
