Default obd2b - obd1 DIY harness question!!!

Made my own obd2b - obd1 conversion harness and I went to test today and everything worked great except no tach reading! I've checked the pinouts and the wires look to be where they are supposed to be. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know what else it might be? All help will be appreciated....thanks.

You do have your harness done correctly, with OBD2B pins A19 and B13 both connected to OBD1 A21?

I know you hang out on pgmfi a bit, and probably got the harness guide there... some of those kids stepped into RPT's "ice cream thread" and posted up some directions that don't work.

Verify pinouts via this guide, and read the thread here for my clarifications to RPT's guide, which he never implemented/updated. Ignore anything after.

I ASSume that is your problem, if your Civic runs fine off an OBD2B ECU.

thanks. I dunno what he has connected. He bought a harness and it was a piece of **** so he is going through everything...

hes been looking at the pinouts here: http://www.hondaswap.com/forum...29360

he called me today all excited, about your post so maybe he doesnt have a19 and a13 both connected to obd1s a21.

Ben
