Default OBD2a VS. OBD2b Distributor Plug Differences?

Well, me and a friend are putting a 2000 d16y7 into a 97 Ex. Why, long story.

Anyways, we got a 1997 Dx harness for the engine.

Everything plugged up fine, except for the Distributor plug. The plug on the 97 harness is considerably larger.

Anyone encounter this before? It really suprised me. As far as I know for 96-00 Dx and Cx had the same engine.....why change the distributor plug?

I used a 97 Hx harness on a 99 b16a2 and the distributor hooked up just fine.

Plan now is just to use a 97 Hx distributor I have laying around on the Cx engine...hopefully the plugs will be the same.
