Default obd2 OIL PUMP difference

i have an obd1 b18b oil pump on my ls vtec with b18b. Im going to swap out my pump for a new one. I ordered a obd2 civic si 2000 oil pump not thinking about the timing cover might be different. I know this pump will have the provisions for bolting on that positioning sensor which makes the timing cover slightly different. another thing is this pump is like 50$ less than the obd1 b series oil pump, WTF??

Will this pump work for me, will i need to modify my timing cover, i may just buy an obd2 timing cover if there is to much modifying to be done.

i wont have to use the obd2 timing belt sprocket will i?

the cover will bolt up but there will be a gap between the cover and the oil pump.
