OBD2 Location of second O2 sensor
on a OBD2 car does the secondary O2 have to be located BEHIND the cat or can it be in front in front of the cat??
the reason I ask this is because I saw some headers for sale on ebay, and the secondary O2 was plugged into the DP, and the first one was plugged directly into the header, not leaving a place for the CAT to be (well after DP)...now to my knowledge this would throw a code since the ECU is suppose to be reading the reading after the CAT
Can anyone confirm in this in fact will throw a code or not...
Thanks

put it in front, and you shouldn't pass emissions
edit: you have emissions in Canada??

It should be behind the cat. The secondary o2 sensors sole purpose is to help the ECU tell if the cat is working or not.

depends on where you live, in ottawa, canada, which is where i'm at, we have it...
I am all for emissions, I currently run a cat and would not run without one...my kids will be breathing the air one day, I was just wondering for personal knowledge
