OBD1 to NON OBD conversion???
How can i do this? My friend wants to drop a first gen b16 in a 93 hatch si. Hes gonna get that tranny cable conversion from hasport. So about the wiring can anyone help? Any jumper harness he can buy? Thanks
i think that would be too much trouble. it would be easier to adapt the 93 si engine harness, and use obd1 distributer and chip the p28 that is in the car to dohc specs. HTH

personally since i own a obd0 car i would want obd1 stuff. i would not want to switch to the older stuff that goes bad often. u can use a obd0 alternator.

Ok so all he has to do is change the distributor and chip his ecu right? He can also use the existing wiring harness of course. So far the distributor needs to be changed. If theres anything else that needs to be changed please let me know thanks.

use your original harness and a chip obd1 ecu.change the injectors from the sohc and change the dis. there is a company called locash racing that sell a jumper harness to use an obd1 ecu in a obdo car but i wouldnt go obdo kkep it obd1

im letting him know whut the easiest and more practical approach to complete the swap is. if you want it to be 10 times more difficult, and have a ugly resistor pack in the engine bay for some injectors that arent even any more different than go ahead.

PM blown90hatch, His name is Jason. He made my OBD0-OBDI harness
He's a good guy. He has a website too. Search his name in the member list.HTH

chip the p28 ecu and adapt the wiring harness in the car to the motor. You can use the older injector if you wire in the box, or the newer ones with out. They are the same size so use the obd-1 injectors. If you use a adater harness like blown hatch sells you have to use the distrib and I think o2 sensor for what ever your ecu your using. Save your self the hassle and chip the p28. All the wiring will be there and you will not need a second o2 or a knock sensor. You willmost likely need to find a b16a, gsr oradapt an ls distrib on, because I do not think the sohc one will fit on the b16a. Then you can go Hondata with no problems in the future and make some money back selling the obd-0 ecu.
Yeah, I messed up. I didn't realize that the diff between peak and hold and saturated, was in the injectors themselves, I think I thought it was just in how the ECU, controls them.
I learned this through some research, and also found out that saturated circuits have a faster switching rate. So you might get a little extra fuel, oh well.

OK so i'm sellin him my b16. I dont have to sell him my pr3 ecu then . So basically all he needs from my motor is just the whole thing with out the injectors and the harness. Hes gonna but that hydro to cable conversion kit from hasport. It only cost 225 which isn't bad. I thought non obd is better then obd1 and obd2? Ppl told me non obd cars are a bit faster and easier to tune? I appreciate the help though! thank
