obd1 ls motor in ef wiring help...
Hello i need some help with my wiring for my obd1 ls swap into my ef dx chassis, i already swapped the motor, just need help with wiring, i would like to keep it obd1, i found a 90 b18a engine harness, what else would i need to do besides splice the obd1 injector plugs, get a distributor conversion harness, ecu conversion harness, and alternator? can i remove the resistor box if i go this route? because i plan on keeping everything that is on the motor, like the obd1 distributor and obd1 injectors
First you need to convert your dx(dual point) to mpfi(multi-port)..everything will connect. after that like you said. ecu jumper harness, distributor jumper. the fuel resistor box can be deleted by just unplugging.
you can use the OBD1 alternator as it is the same plug style. You'll also need to run the fan switch wiring from the back of the block (two brass pin style on the DX engine to the thermostat housing on the LS motor). You'll also need to wire in a 4 wire O2 sensor. Rywire does a DPFI to MPFI harness that you can do the OBD1 addition as well with O2 sensor wiring. I believe you have to send them your DX harness.
