Alternators - are the connections on an b-series OBD0 & OBDI alternator the same? I replaced the alternator on my b16a - it's good at idle - between 13.6 & 13.85 volts depending on the accessories on. At about 6.5k rpm, the charging light comes on & stays on until the revs drop. I had replaced the old alternator with a 65 amp 91 LS alternator & think that the alternator's just too weak to deal with the VTEC requirements. I'd like to change to a 94 GSR alternator, since they're 90 amps, but need to know if it will plug in!

hmm, but 92-93 are OBD-I, right? The cost difference isn't too huge a deal, but will the alternator plug into the harness?

The plugs are the same and the alternators are interchangeable.

i concurr. i had a alternator go bad on my b16, and pulled one from a b16a in an engine warehouse. plugged in, works fine, no CEL lights, etc... i am also using a UR crank pulley.
