Default OBD-0 OBD1 ignitor the same?

I did a search function already i couldnt find anything...... i have my friends 90 integra LS sitting dead in front of my driveway. We bought a brand new coil... there is spark.. but no start... i checked every wire connected to the dist...do you think it is the ignitor??.. i have 3 obd1 ls distributors in my garage..do you thin the ignitors are interghangable?.... he locked his car went home told me not to touch it but im wondering now....any ideas?

If you are getting spark, ignition is not the problem. Obd0 and obd1 ignitors are different. The obd0 uses a capacitor while the newer one dont.

3 major conditions that have to be met to make a car run..

Spark..
Fuel..
Combustion...

5 Air, spark, fuel, timing and compression.

Does it crank over faster than its supposed too? That will be a sign of no compression. I assume the plug wires were already correct. Try pulling the plugs and see if they're too fouled to create a spark in the cylinder.

Ha!... I goofed , compression should be #3 and not combustion, i was waiting for someone to include timing but if timing was off, compression would not exist, well not sufficiently.. my brains going mush.
