Default NOS Question. Need Help FAST!!!!!

alright heres the deal, my friend just bought a universal NOS dry kit and hes puttin it on a 93 del sol si. we've got everthing assembled but there is a piece called a "fuel pressure safety switch" and we have no clue wehre it goes or what it does or anything. But if anyone has any information on what it does or how we hook it up into the system that would help out soooo much. Thanks
Cody

The Fp saftey switch ties into your fuel supply... IE: fuel rail or on top of the filter it monitors the fuel pressure and will not allow you to Hit the nos if your fuel pressure is not suffencent.

The fuel pressure switch is recommended but not necessary when running NOS...... for example if you fuel pressure is at 48, and when you have nos activqated for some reason it drops to 45, it'll disactivate your system, on its own, so that you dont juice and blow your motor...

yeah it goes usually on top of your fuel filter, but im gonna tell you, thats one of the biggest pproblems when running the system. i had a problem with it not working right, i called a local place that deals with NOS and they told me that they have a pile of fuel safety switches in their back room that dont work. i ran the NOS w/out it and it worked fine. Then I sold the kit to my friend and he's using the kit without the switch with no problems at all. imo throw it away, or use it as a paper weight

imo just put it on. if it malfunctions its equally as easy to take it off. id rather have a good motor.

yeah you could put it on but if you got the system that i had it has two solenoids, the second solenoid opens only after the system senses the right amount of fuel pressure. so basicly with this system there are many precautionary steps that they have taken to help protect your engine. now the tricky part is knowing how much your engine can handle. most of the time its user error

the fuel safety thing goes on top of your fuel filter bolt. you have to take that bolt out and then drill right into the middle on the bolt head until you see through it, and then tap it, so that the fuel safety thing can screw into it. use teflon tape

I think he was referring to the actual NOS kit, which is perfectly fine...
