Default noob-user alert..Question about car model labelling system

Can someone please explain the how the letter labels such as "eg" or "da" correlate to the numbers attatched to them and the car they represent. I'm not a complete dumbass, I understand that egs are civics and da's are integras, but is there some list that shows which one is which?
sorry for the confusing question

ek civic 96-01
ek9 jdm ctr
