The body codes...what do they coorespond to?
Sorry...dumb question from an Integra driver. I'm talking about the EF, EG, EK codes. I assume that...
EF = 88-91 Civic and CRX
EG = 92-95 Civic and del Sol
EK = 96-00 Civic (incl. Si)
For the Integras...I think the 86-89 car was based on an elongated 84-87 Civic/CRX (beam rear axle) platform. The 90-93 car was an EF...The 94-01 car was an EG...and the RSX is a current-generation Civic (the one with Macpherson struts in the front). And I've seen G3 Integras referred to as "DC2" whatever that means.
Do I have this right?

The new Civic hatches are ES. EK4 and EK6 I THINK was actually sold in North America, it's the EK9 that was never sold here (the Civic Type R).

As per Honda, the 2 letters EG, EJ, DC, etc vary from year to year and also change with the 2 or 4 door units.
I have a 95 EX, and mine is a EJ1, but my buddy has a 96 DX and he's got a EJ1 as well.
Just as a General rule.
EG's are 92-95 Hatches
EJ's are 92-2000 Coupes
EK's are 96-2000 Hatches
DA's are 2nd gen Tegs
DC's are 3rd gen Tegs
But there are many variations of the rules.

i agree with everything except the 96-00 hatches being ek's. if a 96 hatch is an ej6 and a 2000 hatch is ALSO an ej6 then why would they make anything inbetween anything other than an ej6?
