don't buy crower. they suck for imports. their cams break in half and their retainers break. The valve springs don't stay stiff. Don't do it.
*sigh*

I have a friend who grinds my cams for me. He has many years of experience grinding race cams for BMW, Nissan, and Lotus in addition to Honda auto and honda motorcyle. He's a good guy and use to work for Chrysler's performance division back in the 60's when Chrysler was the horsepower king.

Sorry no dyno sheets...yet.

For the medium grinds and up I use Crower blanks.

I think I saw on one of your post that you have the Crower cams. Crower makes the highest quality components I've seen. I am probably going to get their Eibach valve springs. Good ****.
I wouldnt mind having your cams but I cant justify buying them since I have a new set of crower 403's.

for Rocket. I broke in the action clutch, raced a couple times since. Grabs hard.

About the question for 180whp, yes you can do it, its just about how streetable a 180whp LS is. The B16a pistons won't give you compression that high unless you mill ur head or run longer rods.

B16B pistons only give 11.4:1 compression on LS rods in a B18b, with B16A giving either 11:1 or less depending on whether they are USDM or JDM B16A pistons.

It's cool to see other people building up the B18b too.

Has anyone ever seen dyno results posted on Crower Cams by Crower?
Does anyone know that the Crower high lift, short duration turbo grind really works?
I find it interesting that no one has asked Rocket at what lift (.010, 1mm, .050) his published duration figures were measured at. You can't compare specs between any cams to estimate performance without this number.

High Lift, Low duration cams do work. I have a set similar to Crowers 62402Ts, as did Boosted3g when he dyno'd 500+ HP on them. He's kinda secretive about his figures, engine and such. Check out his car in the post thats on the board. I think my LS would continue too pull past 8000 RPM if I didn't rev-limit it. I wish I had dyno figures, but at 10PSI i'm tapping out a set of 450cc injectors, so i guess thats close to 300whp.

You should be able to get a little more out of the cams with the b20 than with a b18b, I think...I plan on going Crower 404s eventually...first I just need to get the engine in the car! I still need a tranny (b16 or GSR), axles, int shaft, etc, etc..

The problem is we made the same whp with long duration and lots of overlap cams. So who has the right cams or does it even matter what cams you use? No one has done real dyno comparisons on turbo cams.
