Default No Spark!

I just finished doing my H22A to F22A1 swap (long story) and now I can't get spark. I pulled the spark plug wire out of the head and put the end near the negative battery terminal and had a friend crank the car. I didn't see any sparks or anything come out of it. When cranking the car, within the first 3-4 seconds is a single pop sound from inside the motor. I'm sure that my timing is off but I don't think that it will cause the car to not start... The coil was fine when it was in my H22A and I know that I did the external to internal dizzy conversion correctly. I soldered the wires as well so I know that it is not a loose connection.

One thing is that I'm using the H22A cap on the F22A1 dizzy. The cap fits fine and doesn't seem like it's causing a problem.

I know I'm getting fuel because I can smell it and I'm sure that everything is grounded correctly. Now that I think about it, there is a very thick ground wire on the chassis next to the tranny but it is not hooked up because there is no place for it to go. I'm not sure where it was when we took the H22A so I left it there, unbolted.

But there is a ground going from the valve cover to the chassis; the negative terminal on the battery is bolted to the chassis and there is another line from that to the upper part of the tranny. There are also 2 ground wires coming off of the wiring harness. One of them is bolted to the thermostat housing and the other is grounded in the fuse box. I've checked the fuses in the fuse box and they are all fine. I'm really lost right now and will paypal the person that solves my problem $10.
