Default no pressure in gas tank? normal?

is it normal to have no pressure when you take off the gas cap?

I think it depends on how far you've driven to get to the gas station.

If I drive from work to the gas station (at least 5 mi) there's vacuum.
If I drive from my house to the gas station (.25 mi) there's no vacuum.

Of course my fuel system is different from yours...
