Default no more hyper blinker please!!!!

how do i make my cars blinker flash at a normal rate???

i have LED bulbs in the rear and soon to be in the front..will my hyper blinker stop once i have all LED's??

or do i need to throw some resisters inline so the little black box thinks there is regular bulbs in there and that they all work!!

i have posted this on a few other boards and got no answer at all

this fourm is alot better info wise so i hope someone hear can help

thanks

What is wrong with normal bulbs? The LED's are causing all your problems.

It won't stop when you have LED's in the front as well. Switching back to normal bulbs will solve your problems.

i have all clear tails and need the LEDs to get the color needed to keep the cops away and also to keep the clear look when there off..i think i can just use some resisters to trick the car to think the regulare bubls are in there..i was hoping someone on here has done this and would know exactly what i need to do it

I was gonna say you need some resistors... but I'm not sure what kind of resistors you'd need

Try in the appearance/cosmetic forum, I'm sure they'd know.

pick up 6 ohm 50 watt resistor for each bulb at a good electronics parts store and wire them in parallel to the bulb. Your blinker will blink slow even if the bulb is out though....

6ohm (not 6k) it simulates the load that the bulb would have on the blinker relay.
50 watt because 6ohms across 14volts is ~33watts of power.

you can buy flasher modules compatiable with the lower load of LEDs

i like the idea of lowering the power useage as a performance gain to keep the load on the alternator as low as possible so resistors are bad in my book. I know it would never be noticable, however it makes me feel like a better person. Go get the correct flasher module.

cheap *** DIY adjustable blinker relay. you'll have to play with the resistor numbers to get what you want exactly but this is the idea.
