Default NO IDEA WHAT IS WRONG! HELP!!!!

this might sound unbelieveable but I tried putting in my engine today and guess what? i turned it over and for a second it worked fine but then a second later it just started spraying oil. the spray seemed to come from behind or around the alternator. I say this because everything from the alternator to the bracket to the suspension under it is drenched in oil. Now, my set up is lsvtec. b18a block with b16a head. me and my friend torqued everything down i swear. there has to be a plug or a hose somewhere back there that is spraying oil like that. I looked around it and all i could think that could spray that much oil is the oil pump. But it didnt look like anything was wrong with it. I literaly could not find anything like a hole or a loose hose or anything. Please help, any suggestions will help at this point. I need anything. thank you so much

stop messing around on the internet and get your tools out and start taking things off.

Check to see if it's coming out of where the head and block meet, if so your headgasket is the problem, could be from the oil pressure sensor or from a bad gasket on the oil filter.

well we took off the alternator and didnt see anything wrong. thats the thing. i mean this thing blasted about 2-3 quarts of oil in a matter of seconds. The car started then a second later it was just blasting everywhere. Im not sure if the head gasket would be the problem. i wouldnt think that the pressure from the head on the block would be loose enough to blast that much oil. I will change the oil filter just in case it was that but the oil filter didnt have much oil on it. any more ideas?

Got an oil cooler? Check the gasket between that & the block.

I changed the oil on my wife's car saturday... for the first time in my life, the oil filter gasket stuck to the flange & stayed behind. If I hadn't noticed it, having 2 oilfilter gaskets would have made it spray all over, just like yours.

well the b18 block was new and had the golden eagle kit on it and yes i used locktight. but it might be the oil filter because i reused the one off of my old b16 block so the gasket might have been left behind or something. So i bought a new oil filter and i will check and see if it keeps spraying oil every where.

DId You check the black box in the rear of the engine? Also .. there a chance you put the head gasket backwards? Seriously.. it will spray everywhere if you put it on backwards..

haha, i found the problem, a freekin hole i forgot to plug, so i pluged that and i thought everything would be fine. But then i ran it for about a minute and yet another puddle of oil was under my car. this time and the front left of my engine under my vtec cylinoid inbetween the head and the block. But the problem is that i dont believe i put that on backwards at all. I torqed down the head to exact specs used golden eagle head gasket and dowel pins. But the oil leaks out between the head and block. When i ran it, it sounded fine but then a little crack crack pop sound happened and my engine bogged a little and i turned it off and saw the puddle under my car. Do you think it was the head gasket breaking or do you think something else happened. Im taking off my head today either way to see if anything seezed or if anything broke. I hope its just my head gasket but any suggestions would be great.

i got that puppy fixed as well but now have yet another leak. I think i have a vacume leak because it idles high, up around 3-4gs. I also have another oil leak, looks like its the right side and looks like the head gasket. Its weird i torqued down the head studs to spec and made sure they were in spec. its killin me because it starts its just these small little problems. any suggestions?
