Today, I'm taking off my resonator and original cat. The resonator is shot and I just passed emissions, so I want to go straight pipe.. What can I expect to gain? I have the I/H/E, Skunk2 Stage2 cams, valvtrain, Skunk2 chip, VAFC, Toda flywheel. Also, I've been told I will get a constant CEL because I dont' have a cat. I've heard that you can put up by the shift linkage and it should read clean...Thoughts, opionions???? I'm running 175.2 whp and 123.9 lb.

bleh. 5 mabey 8 mabey. more hp gains w/ fi. car will throw codes if you dont have your o2 sensors in. put them in no codes

 

if you are a o2 sensor short and you only have one pluged in you can make a o2 sim. i got the web site some where or you can ask some one on here about the o2 sim. thiers a choice make one witch you can find all the parts in radio shack or like 20$ in all or you can buy one for 40 buck on sum site i lost the site name though

And you will live forever in fear of getting caught. No? How about those portable emission test setups they have on on-ramps? Ever see white trailers with odd optical looking things on tripods? Your car will get nailed.

Is it *really* worth it? Never mind your car is effectively "pissing in the pool" we all drink from.

I am in the process of doing a swap... a lot of people suggest " a resonated test pipe instead of a Catalytic converter. I don't have emissions test here where I live. So I had considered it. I Want an INexpensive solution to the cat situation. Maybe Jegs? . I wasnt aware there are portable test units! but that treating the earth good Idea is nice.. Unfortuneatly the big rigs and industirial dumptrucks do a really thorough job of polluting our air, so would a performance car here and there make all that much difference? Not trying to bash you ... you have good points..
