Default No CAT = more smoke?

Does running without a cat cause a more smokey exhaust than with one?

I don't know about the smoke. But I believe you can smell the difference from a cat and no cat.. But if I were you, I wouldn't do it. No point in smelling bad and getting a big ticket for not having a catalytic converter..

yes. lots of black smote if you step on it. plus it sounds like a big bee is coming down the road (in low rpm) gp with a high flow one, thats what im doing next summer.

Yes it will hide some of it... However if it's the color black, then it sounds like it may be running to rich. Probably need to get the O2 sensor and fuel pressure looked at. Running it to long, can cause scuffing the cylinder wall(s) (oil getting washed off), to clogging the O2...
