Default Newly installed coilovers

I just got a set of APC adjustable coilovers installed into my 2000 integra. When I picked the car up from the shop, I noticed that the rear end was jacked up, almost above the factory level, while the front was dropped. The repairman told me that the rear coilovers cannot be dropped anymore because the cambers aren't adjustable and the tires would be angled out on the top.

I was just wondering if I require a camber kit or if the car shop just messed up on the install. If you have any info, please let me know.

Sounds reasonable to me. Whether us honda owners realize it or not, lowering the car IS changing the suspension angles and such, and the shop is just looking out for their best interests. If they drop it all the way to the bumpstops for you or something, without a camber kit, they run the risk of having you come back in a few months with your irregularly worn tires and bitching at them (or worse, if something were to break, or you were to rip something off the underside of your car, they could be liable for it, i guess)

So anyway, to sum it up, they'll install the coils for you, but if you want them dropped way down, you're gonna have to get under there with the spanner wrench(es) and adjust them yourself.

For one thing, APC isn't exactly quality. Second, I don't think the shop guys really knew what they were doing. You can adjust rear camber by putting shims(washers) where the upper control arm bolts to the body. You really shouldn't have camber problems unless you go below 1'5". Below this, you need better struts ( which you really should get anyway) and a camber kit. And don't go so low you ride on the bumpstops or hit them often, this can be dangerous.
