Default Newbie clutch question-need help

Car is 93 civic with 120,xxx. Bought it used don't know when was the last time clutch was changed. Lately driving, when I engage clutch car stutters... don't know if this is so called clutch slipping but all I know is that it's not smooth engagement.
Sometimes when it's engaged all the way... and I hit the gas... car stutters and bounces a little also. I'm pretty dumb it comes to cars so I figured I ask HT if my clutch needs to be changed.

Also one more thing.. lately I been driving around without an air filter for a few days. Could it be that it sucked in some particles and cause this stuttering? Or is it the clutch?

Anyways, I'm not going to drive the car until I replace the air filter because I know it's going to do some damage. But I though a few days of driving wouldn't be a problem... maybe I'm wrong. Should I change the oil?

first off man, i would put the air cleaner back in or get a real intake and filter. second sounds like you have a spring in the clutch is bound up and or a broke/cracked pressure plate, i would take it to get it looked at, but thats what it sounds like to me

Is it definitely the clutch that's causing the problem?
If so....
I guess I'm going to have to take it to a mechanic and do a check. How much will it run me for a clutch job like that? I wish I could replace it my self but I don't know anything when it comes to cars, I've never even changed the oil.
