Default newbie... 750 advice

hello! i've been riding and tinkering with bikes for nearly 50 years, mostly american bikes and scooters, some brits a few years ago. my son had his heart set on a vintage honda and bought a 73 cb750 project bike (probably more my project than his) this past week end at a swap meet. it is going to need a lot of work and i may need some advice as we go along. to start off the previous owner had ordered the bike with electric no starter. i bought a nearly complete engine from a friend for $200 to get the starter, gears etc. everything looks good except the drive end of the starter has a worn bushing.
are these bushings available from honda or some supplier, or am i on my own on this one? i know a lot of times the japs want to sell a complete unit instead oif repairing the old one.the old bushing is 18mm outside and the inside measurements don't correspond to any normal size. has anyone been through this?

I would check at your local starter/alternator shop, If they are any good they will be able to get/make something that will work, or hit up your local machine shop and have them make the bushing. 94
