Default New Valves

Hi,

I'm rebuilding my cylinder head and I got new SS valves for it. The old valves have the edges cut to match the 3 different angles on the valve seats, but the new ones have round edges (I guess to be cut later for proper sealing). I want to know what's the name of the process to cut angles on the valve itself. Is it the 3 or 5 angle valve job? or radius cut? I'm not sure what it is, and I'm afraid if I tell the machineshop the wrong name of process, they might screw up the head.

Here's a picture for better explanation:

Thanks in advance.

Just tell the machine shop that you need the valve seats cut for your valves and give them your new valves..

I have never know a machine shop to not pressure check a cylinder after doing a valve job. Just being them all the stuff, and you should be fine.
