Default New tools

I wouldnt say im new to wrenching, but i moved out of my fathers house recently and now dont have access to all his tools but i have a basement and a covered driveway to work on the car in and im planning to do an engine swap and need new tools, should i just go for a large craftsman set for $400 or so and then add things like jacks? And can someone give me a good basic list of tools and such that i should get?

Default Re: New tools

Metric socket set
Torque wrench
Air or electric impact wrench with probably 14, 17, 19, 21mm sizes
Ball joint fork tool (or something equivalent)
Hammer or mallet
Multimeter

You'll also need some specific sockets if you're doing clutch/flywheel removal. A 10mm and 17mm 12 point socket I believe.
