i just swapped a jdm b18c1 into my 95 cx. it runs good while the engine is cold, but once the engine warms up, it will studder on acceleration in the low rpms and eventually stall out. the idle also randomly moves between 400 and 1000. i thought it could be the o2 sensor so i bought a new one but the car still stalls after about 15 minutes of driving. there is no cel and i have replaced plugs, wires, cap, rotor and fuel filter, as well as tested the resistitivity of the distributor coils and they were fine. i need help very badly. i don't know what else to do and i just want to drive my damn car.

Re: new swap won't run good NEED HELP (spaceman)
i didnt bother checking timing cause its only a problem after the car is warmed up. same with the vacuum leaks, but i guess the hoses could expand or something under the heat, but its pretty consistent with the engine getting up to normal temp. i'll check tho.

and i'm runnin the gapless platnium ones. i think bosch makes them? i don't know its late.

he forgot to mention that there is a misfire that can be heard quite often at idle. like not every 10 seconds. more every 1 or 2 seconds with a couple of random ones once in a while

... yea what he said.

i got one of those in-line ignition spark checkers and after the car is warmed up, and i rev it, the bulb has inconsistent bright flashes. this is suppose to mean that some components of the ignition are weak. so my question is, could my distributor be bad, even though the coils' resistance check out to be ok?
