Default New to standalones

I've been debating on whether or not to go standalone.. I've been trying to read up on how to tune using a standalone and I have messed around with a lot of the demo programs out there... My question is how to tune the Ignition tables.. Where do I start from running a Forced Induction?

Should I start with a stock map and then just retard a certain amount per psi of boost? Also how can I tell when I am starting to advance too much?

If anyone knows a good starter site with ignition maps that'd be great!

Thanks for the help!
