so my friend just bought a 2006 tiburon and we put on a k&n cone air filter and removed the stock airbox. however he was wondering if it is a bad idea to modify a car before it has been "broken in", and i was wondering if there was anything behind that. so is it okay to modify a car before the first thousand miles or so? (newbie question probably...oh well)

 

Do it! Just don't abuse the car.

 

i wouldnt do anything extreme untill the car is broken in, and also like the other poster said, dont abuse it. at least not till its ''broken'' in
