Default New brake master cylinder ......... same problems

i got rear ended about a month or two ago and since then my brakes have been messed up. one day i was driving and went to brake and the pedal went all the way to the floor. i finally decided to go buy a new master cylinder today. i bench bled it then installed it and bled all 4 brakes and now its even worse. before i had at least some resistance all the way down, but now i can push the pedal to about an inch from the floor with absolutely no resistance. and for that last 2 inches it sinks slowly to the floor.

anyone have any ideas. i searched but all i found were people who needed to change their MC but in this case its already been done.

It might help if you mentioned to us how you bled your brakes, we might be able to help you out if we knew exactly how you are doing it. Im not saying you did it wrong, but at least we can follow you

well i read more tutorials on how to bleed brakes and im pretty sure i did it wrong. i had my little bro helping me (hes 8) and so i went to Vatozone and got a one man bleeder kit. ill try it tonight and see how it goes.

and the bench bleeding is easy. just fill the MC with fluid, run tubes from the brake line holes to the tank and pump the piston. wait about 10 sec. in between pumps.

well i started to bleed the brakes. bled the rears but when i went to the front i didnt know you have to take off the tires. unfortunatly i only have 2 jacks. the first one cant fit under my car, the second wont jack up my car high enough.

so after class i have to go to my friends' shop and see if i can use their lift. i drove here with almost no brakes. i would estimate about 95% failure. im having to gear brake everywhere. lets hope i can finish today.
