I just dropped off my car at the shop and this is what i was quoted on..

new timing belt
water pump
and hes gonna check if the head gasket is gone
alignment for all 4 tires..
$350

to me, it seems like I got ripped off by far.. can anyone confirm?

 

Roughly estimating..

water pump $50-100
timing belt $50-80
alighment adjustment $40 flat

so I took the median of both water pump and timing belt to balance the factors and it looked something like this:

WP $75
TB $65
AA $40
Total = $180
Charged = $350
Labour = $170

I understand it takes awhile to get to the water pump.. and since your down there might as well replace a few more things but my intentions are to repair and sell the car.
So the parts and labour pretty much weigh itself out... I swear to god I got jipped

Timing belt $25-60 depending on the brand
Pump $60-75
Alignment $40-70
If you add the high end prices ( as shoppes do ) you get $205
so you paid the guy about $145.
If he does good work sounds okay to me.

I don't know about the alignment but the prices I quoted are from majestic honda. They have decent prices as far as I know.
