Need timing belt help asap
Well Im to the part now where you have to retension the timing belt and on the c-speedracing site they say you will be able to push the timing belt in about 1 inch on the long side. Well mine is pretty tight in the front but has that loose 1in on the back side. Is this right or should I take the timing belt off and retry?
Well I redid it again and got the same thing. But the problem is it doesnt seem to be getting that tight bc I can still slide if off the cam gears. Any idea why this could be happening??

Are you rotating the engine counterclockwise when tensioning the belt? Ive learned from experience then others that you never want to rotate it clockwise when tensioning. This should keep tension in the front side meanwhile letting the tensioner take up the slack of the back side. If its failing to do so you might need a new tensioner spring or assembly itself.
