Need some Quick Simple Help
What is the Canister below the Fuel filter on the firewall, says purge, and has a smaller canister connected to it on the passenger side of the big canister? Whats the objective of it and is it neccisary to have, also is there an alternate to it? Thanks for all the help.
^^ yup, its an emissions thing. the gas vapors from your gas tank escape into the canister, and then are pulled into the intake manifold to be burnt off. you dont have to run it, and many dont, but your engine bay may start to smell like gas.
to my knowledge doesn't decrease your performance noticeably.
if u dont need it, sell it to me. i need to smog.

the gas vapor lines shouldnt be left open under the hood for obvious reasons, re-route them underneathe the car.
