need some insight plz
I been thinking about buying this 98 prelude....but the guy says its a sh model and it has a g23 swap....a f23 block with a h22 head....shouldn't this car already have a h22 motor in the car from the factory? and he is selling it real cheap for only 2 grand n it only got 100k on it! I know if these swaps aren't done right with the right wire harness n ecu and welding up the oil holes on the timing side of the head the car will run fucked up and ruin the motor! can anyone tell me if this is a good deal to buy this car or if it is trouble? he says it runs good n strong but I haven't even went to look at it yet n don't know if its really even worth it...plz let me know what yall think!
Need more info. If it was done right, that is a good motor. If its just a stock bottom end with a vtec head then they didn't really accomplish much seeing as your compression would be very low (between 8-9:1). You know what they say… If its too good to be true… it normally is. I would request build receipts/pics. If there is no proof/documentation of the build, find something else. You never know what your getting yourself into.
