Default Need some help please...

I was womdering if anyone know how to fix a code 67, a malfuctioning catalyst system. I wanted to know if anyone has had this code come on and how they went about fixing it. Its a 98 ex coupe, also does this code affect my vtec? Thanks for you feedback and peace out,

most likely you will need a new catalytic converter. if you can get youre hands on a gas analyser, do a cranking CO2 test. disable spark and crank the motor, should achieve 12% CO2 and if not youre catalyst is no good. only other things that could cause a catalyst inefficiency code are bad O2's or a bad PCM. very rare though, a bad O2 will usually throw another code and will prohibit the catalyst monitor from running.
