Need some help with alternator wiring.
Hey guys a friend of mine has an alternator from a 94-97 Integra. He wants to use it on his 2001 Integra. The clips, however, are different. Any idea how we can wire this up? We're trying to wire the 97 clip into his 2001 harness. Here are the wire colors on each clip:
94-97-
top left nothing
top right blue
bottom left black/yellow
bottom right white/blue
98-01-
top left black/yellow
top right white/green
bottom left white/blue
bottom right white/red
Top down picture of both(98-01 on left, 94-97 on right):

Any and all help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks

To my knowledge, 3 and 4 wire alternators work differently, as in the ECU reads/controls them differently. On the 4 wire model, the additional wire lets the ECU know how hard the alternator is charging. No clue on what would happen if you just left this wire hang.

That should work well enough, you can leave teh ALT-C wire disconnected. It's kinda like a clutch switch, and the ecu is allowed to dynamically enable/disable the alternator.
