Hey peeps. I nee to know if when my car is throwing out a code 67 which is the catalyst sytem not working properly,will it affect the vtec in my car. Its 98 civic ex and seems to be running cool. Any help on fixing this problem would be greatly apprecieated also. thanks, ed.

 

The solution is to replace the converter.

 

No it will not effect VTEC, it will put you in open loop mode.

I would recommend replacing the cat.
