Need more hp, what next?
My 95 gsr has the following mods, dc jdm header,2.5 inch mandrel bent with n1 2.5 inch muffler, skunk2 stage one, skunk2 ecu,skunk2 IM, 64mm TB, us type r pistons 10.8 compression, cam gears, fpr, fields controller, crower springs, r retainers, and quaife.. what should I do to take me to the next level..? I will have about 2000 to spend in February... Any suggestions would be great.. and no FI.

My honest thoughts...
Option 1
1. port/polish the head and intake manifold, increase in midrange power...it will be noticeable
2. sell the Crower springs, I've seen a broken set, as well as a recent member of the itr forum who has broken them
3. replace the Crower springs with something else(recommed the stock itr springs)
4. pay to have the car tuned
Option 2
1. purchase a HyTech header and exhaust, sell your current setup
2. with $$$ from sale of exhaust parts purchase a Hondata setup
3. replace the Crower springs with something else(recommed the stock itr springs)
Option 3
1. purchase a Hondata setup and have it tuned
2. port/polish the head and IM
3. replace the Crower springs with something else(recommed the stock itr springs)
When I tested a JDM itr header vs. the HyTech header there was a 10whp peak difference, as well as a 8-15whp difference in the midrange...I highly recommend the HyTech header and exhaust, but that's my opinion.
Hope that helps...

Have you had your car dyno tuned yet? Last I heard you still have not.
If not spend some money on a road trip and get your car tuned. Then at least you know what you relly have under the hood.

Hey man
what i would suggest will cost more than $2000 in the long run but you can get the most power.
I would take your GSR bottom end, Sleve it to an 84mm-85mm with a high comp piston... (ie 12.5:1 13:1) and run a larger cam profile. I'm sure you could get some $$ from your Skunk cams. and also from the crower valve train which I would recommend changing, I have used REV springs and retainers and have had no prob with them... (they will support up to 14.5 mm of lift) and they arn't way expensive. but there are many out there that are much better. then down the line you can run a ITB set up.

another way is like other posts, build you're head, you can get a great head from IB. Their "killer" pkg is $2550, and it includes Skunk Stage 2's I'm sure you could get $500 for you're used skunks. Check out http://www.importbuilders.com and look at what i'm talking about. They also have a setup without cams for around $1600 if i recall. so that way you could spend $1600 and spend the rest getting hondata and the car tuned!
Let me know if you have any questions and i will try to answer them as best I can.
But if doubt call Jeff@ IB
peace
